DEANES EIPIC RETAINS ITS MICHELIN STAR

Double delight for team Deanes today with the publication of the Michelin Guide for Great Britain & Ireland 2017.  Deanes EIPIC has retained its Michelin Star and Deanes At Queens once again has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Deanes EIPIC was first awarded the Star last year, just eighteen months after it opened in Deanes flagship premises in Howard Street in Belfast city centre.  Head Chef Danni Barry is only the second female chef in Ireland ever to win the coveted Star.  Chef Danni, who hails from the Mourne country, began her cooking career with Michael Deane and, having travelled extensively around the globe gaining experience in top class establishments, she returned to take the helm at Deanes EIPIC when it first opened.

Meanwhile Deanes At Queens has retained the Michelin Bib Gourmand, an award which signifies “exceptionally good food at moderate prices”.  Headed up by Chef Chris Fearon it’s one of only six restaurants in Northern Ireland to hold the award.

Restauranteur Michael Deane said “We are absolutely delighted to hold the Star and retain our Bib Gourmand.  It’s a true reflection of the dedication to high standards and the dogged hard work of the team at Deanes.  It’s also wonderful for our city to boast two Michelin Starred restaurants and there’s no doubt that impacts on our tourism industry.”
